Kong SALY OPERATOR'S LANYARD for helicopter hoists and winches with length adjustment according to EN 358:18
SALY is a safety lanyard for helicopter hoist operators.
Its main function is to secure the operator during helicopter hoist operations.
SALY is connected to the operator's harness using an Autoblock locking carabiner (3 movements) and to the helicopter ceiling (safety point) using the TANGO 360 safety system with a Double Gate aluminum carabiner with increased visibility, with overload identifier.
The aluminum swivel element allows the safety lanyard to rotate while the operator moves in the cabin, preventing the safety lanyard from twisting.
SALY is also equipped with innovative safety devices:
- overload indicator on the rotating joint of the connector, signalling the integrity and efficiency of the safety line during rapid acceleration under load
- quick release system, ensuring safe evacuation of the operator in the event of an emergency such as a ditching or helicopter collision.
- the 2-action quick release system is easily accessible and can operate both under load and without tension on the safety line, and can be opened with one hand.
SALY can be used in a wide range of helicopter cabins. The length adjustment device allows the operator to always have the correct cable length setting when operating the rescue winch at the cabin door.
In addition, highly visible connecting devices and tabs facilitate cross-checking by cabin crew before opening the door in flight (checking the correct connections to the safety point and harness).
SALY is versatile and not only dedicated to winch operators, but can also have other applications for helicopter cabin crew.
