Clean muddy\/dirty carabiners with clean water, a washcloth and\/or a soft brush.<\/p>\n

Air Dry – Never dry on a strong heat source.<\/p>\n

Every gear component where metal rubs against metal needs lubrication to keep it running smoothly. For carabiners, dry lubricant should be used instead of oil as commercially available oil will cause dust and dirt to build up. Grease should be applied to all holes when the carabiner is in both open and closed positions.
