Innovative ultra-compact emergency rope clamp.<\/p>\n

Designed for single ropes with a diameter between 8 and 13mm, Duck also works on slings mod. Yaku Vario and Aro Sling Tubular.<\/p>\n

Very small in size, it is easy to insert even with one hand.
In addition, the large attachment hole also allows the rotation of the locking carabiners.<\/p>\n

Duck was born as an emergency ascender useful in recovery maneuvers, self-rescue, progression in
preserves and as a regulator for lanyards or webbing.<\/p>\n

Instructions for use:<\/h3>\n

Fig. 1 \u2013 Fixing \u2013 The cam (B) is always in the free direction:
-open the bracket (A);
-insert the rope\/tape between the cam (B) and the drum (C);
-close the bracket (A) and lock it on the drum (C);
-fix the connector so that it passes through the drum (C).
In a safe position and before use, check that it moves freely in the desired direction and locks in the opposite direction.

– ropes with a diameter of 8 mm to 13 mm, certified in accordance with EN564, EN892 or EN1891;
– KONG \u201cYAKU\u201d and KONG \u201cARO TUBULAR\u201d ropes.<\/p>\n

Inspections before and after use<\/h4>\n

Before and after use, make sure that the device is in good working order and operates correctly, in particular check that:
– it is suitable for the intended use;
– it has not been mechanically deformed;
– it shows no signs of cracks or wear;
– the support (A) locks onto the drum (C);
– the rivets on the plate (D) are intact and without cutting edges;
– the cam (B) closes completely automatically and correctly;
– the markings are still legible.<\/p>\n

Before use and in a completely safe position<\/h3>\n

Check each time that the device is held correctly by loading it with its own weight.<\/p>\n

Important:<\/h3>\n

– the device is not suitable for use on steel ropes;
– the connector must be equipped with a gate lock;
– the device works properly on dry and clean ropes;
– never use only one locking device when moving on a free rope;
– the device may not work properly when attached to insufficiently tensioned ropes;
– applications as a lifting or regulating device are not covered by the PPER Regulation (EU) 2016\/425;
– special conditions (e.g. heat, cold, humidity, oil, dust, mud, snow) can impede or affect the operation of this device.<\/p>\n

Warning:<\/h3>\n

– Always attach the connector through the drum hole (C);
– This device is not a fall arrest device according to EN363;
– When used for lifting, the rope must always run on the drum (C);
– The potential fall height must always be less than 0.5 m unless the user is equipped with appropriate certified devices (e.g. energy absorbers according to EN355) that protect against the dynamic forces acting on the user during fall arrest.
– Always hold the device:<\/strong>
– Below the rope\/strap anchor point;
– Above the harness attachment point.<\/p>\n
